At County Sips, our love for Prince Edward County and all the amazing wineries the local area has to offer is embodied by our incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic sommelier Ian Nicholls.

Ian has spent countless days in the county learning the terroir and exploring the vineyards and wineries.

He is delighted to showcase the wines of this new VQA region through guided tours and local tasting events.

Ian has been involved in the hospitality industry in Kingston for more than 25 years. He graduated from the Sommelier program at Algonquin College in 2010 as Sommelier Advanced.

Ian created an Ontario VQA wine list at Tango, his former restaurant, and hosted many tours of the county from 2002 to 2013. In 2015, he founded County Sips to share his enthusiasm for Prince Edward County wines.

His passion for the industry is infectious and his eagerness for passing on his incredible acumen is evidenced in every tour he gives.
